Kirroughtree is simply fantastic – one of the best man made trails ever created.

Kirroughtree is only a 10 minute ride down the road from Newton Stewart, a thriving and bustling market town in the heart of Galloway.

Because of it's central location to both Glentrool and Kirroughtree, with Dalbeattie nearby, Newton Stewart and the surrounding villages makes an ideal base to explore the best that the 7stanes and the area have to offer.

There are plenty of hotels that are accustomed to accommodating visitors with outdoor interests many with facilities for storing bikes and drying clothes! This area also has some fantastic self catering cottages, village inns and B&B’s.
