Blackcroft Cottage is ideally and centrally located for all the world class mountain biking trails in Dumfries and Galloway including 5 of the 7stanes.

Blackcroft Cottage is new to the market and has a large, well equipped kitchen complete with cooker, microwave fridge freezer and dishwasher. The dining room has a modern table and seating for up to six people. The large living room with comfortable sofas is equipped with television, DVD player and Sky box for your entertainment. There is a good sized garage suitable for storing bikes, equpiment, etc. and a utility room with washing machine.

Blackcroft Cottage has three main bedrooms, two double rooms; one with kingsize bed, one with twin beds and the third has a single with guest pullout. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room.

Blackcroft Cottage is ideal for families, with magnificent views across unspoilt countryside. The property is accessed by private road and is within easy reach of the A75 and town centre shopping facilities in the “Food Town” of Castle Douglas (8 miles) and “Artists’ Town” of Kirkcudbright (4 miles). The small villages of Twynholm and Ringford are also situated nearby where there is a village shop/post office and pubs which serve excellent food.

Other activities include walking the Screel Hill circular walk and taking in a round of golf at any of the 30 golf courses within an hours drive. Other activities in the area includehorse riding, sailing at Kippford, local salmon & trout fishing and there are several historic castles & houses in the area which can be visited.

Loch Ken is also nearby where a variety of  sailing and water pursuits are available together with full instruction and for bird watching enthusiasts the famous Red Kite Trail is also close by.
