The property is accessed by private road and is within easy reach of the A75 and town centre shopping facilities in the “Food Town” of Castle Douglas (8 miles) and “Artists’ Town” of Kirkcudbright (4 miles). The small villages of Twynholm and Ringford are also situated nearby where there is a village shop/post office and pubs which serve excellent food.
Other activities include walking the Screel Hill circular walk and taking in a round of golf at any of the 30 golf courses within an hours drive. Other activities in the area includehorse riding, sailing at Kippford, local salmon & trout fishing and there are several historic castles & houses in the area which can be visited.
Loch Ken is also nearby where a variety of sailing and water pursuits are available together with full instruction and for bird watching enthusiasts the famous Red Kite Trail is also close by.
