Description

Boreland Cottage is a detached cottage situated in a superb location with wonderful views over the stunning Loch Ken. The property has recently been refurbished and is furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout. The cottage is located on a working family farm and that the cottage is a prime spot for witnessing all areas of farming life. Whilst in totally rural surroundings, the thriving Food Town of Castle Douglas is within a 15 minute drive plus a popular pub with restaurant and small village shop in the nearby village of Crossmichael.

For the mountain bike enthusiast five of the world famous 7stanes mountain bike trails are all within easy reach and provide the ultimate mountain bike experience for all ages and abilities.

Holidaymakers have FREE FISHING on parts of Loch Ken, a well known coarse fishery, with boats available for hire at the nearby caravan park. The property is ideally located for birdwatchers opposite an RSPB reserve and on the Red Kite Trail. There are lovely walks in the immediate area and a network of quiet country roads.

Beautifully located, the hills, including The Southern Upland Way, are within a short drive and the Solway Coast with its numerous safe sandy beaches is within easy reach.

The owners are currently offering a 10% discount on all Boreland Cottage bookings from now until the easter holidays, 11th April 2009.
