Clive Forth

Clive Forth in actionRacing since the late ‘80’s Clive has been there and, as they say, done it, worn the t-shirt!    He went to the mountain bike World Championships in Vail Colorado in 1994 as a privateer, the following season he was signed to ride for the Volvo Cannondale European squad. He moved to Scotland in 2005 to develop his teachings as one of Europe’s top mountain bike skills tutors.  Clive is a regular contributor to various magazines and websites and regularly featured on anything that requires high speed skill or top notch teaching techniques.  Clive is currently in the process of writing his second book, his first book written for AC&Black/Bloomsbury group publishers ‘The Mountain Bike Skills Manual’ is due for release in April 2011, the following book will be on the shelves in spring 2012.

The concept of MTBSkills - The Clive Forth Mountain Bike Academy was formed many years ago.

Clive started racing mountain bikes in 1987, a time when racers outweighed the recreational rider.

The seed was planted many years ago but the sport (and Clive) both needed time to mature.

Competing at an international level and for some prestigious teams he has gained a unique insight into the industry.  The success of the teams he has been involved in and the riders he has coached were to him proof enough that it was time to share his knowledge with a wider audience.  With his diverse CV he stands out as being a key authority on the subject.

Now a published author with his second book underway he has combined his established MTBSkills business with the newly founded Mountain Bike Academy.
