Coaching / Skills Providers

Mountain Biking SkillsTo help you get the most out of your 7stanes mountain biking experiences, we enlisted the help to 3 of the UK's most respected MB riders. With years of MB experience behind them at the highest level of the sport in the UK, these guys know the 7stanes courses backwards and in fact Rik actually built some of them!

All, including the newcomers - Mucky Adventures, offer one-to-one coaching, skills training and ride-buddy facilities details of which you can find on the following pages. Let us introduce them to you:

Clive Forth : "I did my first race in late 1987 and my first full season of competition in 1988!” Currently riding for the Extreme Endurance team, Clive enjoys some top industry sponsorship.Fully experienced in Down Hill, Cross Country, 4X, Free-ride, Street/Park.

Rob Lee : Rob first rode off-road in 93 “I did my first ride in April and started racing four weeks later. I’ve done a full race season every year since”
Currently riding for the Extreme Endurance team, the team that he founded, Rob also enjoys top industry sponsorship. His skills lie in Cross Country, Enduro and Solo 24 Hour.

Rik Allsop : Based at Drumlanrig, Rik was organising and racing in XC and DH events in the 80's even before setting up his shop and trails at Mabie. The 'Sunday Muddy Sunday' family rides, school races and the 'Full Mental' club have produced many Scottish Champions and more than a few British National podiums. Rik has been a certified Mountain Bike Leader for as long as you could be one, (certificate number MTB001) so you can be pretty sure he'll be able to help with your riding technique, confidence fitness or just all round riding ability.

Mucky Adventures mountain biking skills courses : Mucky Adventures started as there is a need for a more personable provider of courses offering greater flexibility over dates, times, and the aims of the sessions. Mucky Adventures are all about the learner getting what they need and not courses which are set in stone where knowledge is imparted from above.
