Friars Carse Hotel, set in 45 acres of woodland extending to the banks of the River Nith, is a magnificent country house hotel offering guests a warm welcome with a well-furnished spacious lounge with views over the garden and river, and a comfortable bar.
Friars Carse Hotel has 21 bedrooms all with spectacular views over our beautiful gardens leading down to the banks of the river Nith. All rooms at the Friars Carse Hotel are en-suite with bath and/or shower, free Wi-fi internet access within the hotel, direct dial telephone, remote control colour TV with Freeview channels and radio.

The Whistle Restaurant, which takes its name from a Burns poem, has an excellent menu using a range of local produce and has extensive wine list. We also have a comfortable lounge and bar where you can enjoy a few pints and catch up on the days events of just relax.

Activities at the Friars Carse Hotel in addition to the fantastic mountain biking at nearby Drumlanrig, Ae Forest 7stanes with its brand new state-of-the-art trailhead facilities and Mabie 7stanes, include private sea trout, grayling and salmon fishing on our mile plus stretch of the River Nith for the exclusive use of guests, with tackle storage, drying room and freezing facilities. We also have a panelled snooker room, a 9 hole putting green, nearby shooting (by arrangement) and a variety of golf courses to suit all abilities.
