Gelston Castle Holidays offer five comfortable, well-appointed, centrally-heated cottages sleeping from 4 to 7 people, on beautiful 4500 acre Gelston Castle Estate near the Solway coast. Although the nearest 7stanes mountain bike trails are at Dalbeattie 7 miles away, Gelston Castle makes an ideal base from which to experience the thrills of all the world class mountain bike trails in Dumfries and Galloway.

Four cottages in the listed old stable courtyard of Gelston Castle, giving possibility of groups up to about 22 people.

Cottage no. 1: Sleeps 6 or 7 with extra bed. Ground floor: hall; kitchen/dining; sitting room with open fire; W.C. Upper floor: double/twin master bedroom with en-suite shower room; twin bedroom. Tower: double/twin bedroom; adjacent bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower.

Cottage no. 2: Sleeps 6 Ground floor: hall; kitchen/dining; sitting room with open fire; bathroom with bath and separate shower. Upper floor: double/twin master bedroom with en-suite shower room; 2 twin bedrooms.

Cottage no. 4: Sleeps 5 or 6 with extra bed Ground floor: hall; kitchen; W.C.; L-shaped living room with wood-burning stove, dining area with hatch to kitchen. Upper floor: double/twin master bedroom with en-suite shower room; 1 twin & 1 single bedroom; bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Cottage no. 7: Sleeps 4 or 5 with extra bed Ground floor: hall; kitchen; L-shaped living room with cast-iron electric stove, dining area with hatch to kitchen. Upper floor: double bedroom; twin room (bunk beds); bathroom with over-bath shower.

Facilities on site include 40 ft heated outdoor swimming pool (May-Sep); all-weather tennis court; steam room and changing room; giant chess; laundry room; drying room.

Kirkmirren Cottage: Romantic, luxurious cottage sleeping 4. Secluded, picturesque hillside position below rugged Screel Hill, 3 miles from Gelston Castle Courtyard. Ground floor: sun porch; sitting room with log fire; W.C.; separate dining room; kitchen; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside drying facilities. Sun terrace. Upper floor: 1 double & 1 twin bedroom; bath with over-bath shower.

All linen, towels, electricity, heating and hot water included. Short breaks available outside peak periods.
