Description
logo_2.gifThe Creetown Gem Rock Museum's Prospectors' Pantry Cafe  is open 7 days a week and offers a wide variety of home made food. It is not necessary to purchase a museum ticket to use the tea room - we are open to all.

We are mountain biker and walker friendly (handy railings on view for tethering bikes and pets!), so if you are out for a day on the 7stanes or walking the Balloch Wood trails, please drop in.

Situated just off the A75 which links the 7stanes trails of Glentrool and Kirroughtree in the west of Dumfries and Galloway with the other trials in the east of the region as well as being the access to the main Irish Ferry port of Stranraer, the Creetown Gem Rock Museum's Prospectors' Pantry Cafe is an ideal place to stop off en-route or to relax and refresh after the exertions and exhilerations of the Kirroughtree 7stanes trails only 4 miles away.

Open throughout the year, the Prospectors' Pantry Cafe offers a wide range of heart warming dishes all produced onsite using local produce wherever possible.

We look forward to welcoming you when next in the area.
