High Kirkland is a small holiday development consisting of a choice of high quality self-catering units converted from the house and buildings of what was previously a small croft approximately 1 mile from the attractive coastal town of Kirkcudbright and although tucked away on the coast High Kirkland is less than an hour from all 5 of the Dumfries and Galloway 7stanes trails.

The busy and lively town of Kirkcudbright is one of the highlights of Dumfries and Galloway with a full range of excellent food and gift shops, restaurants and pubs. 

As the farmlands associated with High Kirkland were long ago absorbed into another nearby farm, the cottages have now an air of country solitude and tranquility. Whilst surrounded by green fields where local Galloway cattle are raised, they are without the farmyard noise and activity often encountered with renovated farm cottages.

Cottage No.1 is a very attractive and well appointed cottage has everything you would need to accommodate a large family or group or up to 10 for a holiday or short break.

On two floors, Cottage No1 comprises of a large and airy lounge room, a spacious dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, one double-bedded and three twin bedded bedrooms, and a twin bedded children's bedroom with cot. There is also a bathroom and a shower room, each with toilets and wash-hand basins.

Cottage No.2, an equally attractive and well appointed two storey cottage has everything you would need to accommodate a family or group of up to 6 for a holiday or short break.

Cottage No.2 consists of a lounge / dining room, kitchen and a twin bedded room downstairs. Upstairs is a twin bedded room, double bedroom and bathroom.

As well as our cottages, there is an additional utility room with tumble-dryer, cycle lock-up and drying facilities. There is ample car parking at the door of each cottage and good communal outdoor areas where BBQ's can be held.
