Situated in a superb setting at the end of a single track road, Mid Garraries Farmhouse commands wonderful panoramic views over the surrounding hills and down to Clatteringshaws Loch.The setting is spectacular and incredibly peaceful. Although isolated, the house is only 7.5 miles from the town of New Galloway which provides local shopping and facilities for eating out.

The house is situated very close to the Southern Upland Way making this an ideal location for a walking holiday.Cycling is available on the nearby extensive tracks and roads in Galloway Forest Park and for the enthusiast there is a purpose built mountain biking course (7Stanes)at nearby Kirroughtree.The Galloway Forest Park has recently been designated "A Dark Skies Park" one of only 5 places in the world having night skies dark enough for stargazing, making the heavens visible to the naked eye.The house has been completely refurbished with oil central heating, new kitchen, and new bathroom, completely redecorated and with a most attractive timber lined first floor.
Apart from the attractions of the immediate area, within easy driving distance are excellent sporting facilities including, game, coarse and sea fishing; for the bird watcher it would be difficult to better the location. Buzzards, Red Kites and many other species of birds, including a Golden Eagle, have been seen very close to the house. New Galloway has a golf course and a number of other golf courses are within an easy drive.The Stewartry has a number of interesting towns and villages all well worth exploring.

Extras:£20 per dog per week. £15 per week winter heating surcharge (October to March inclusive) for the central heating. A starter pack (comprising 2 buckets of coal and 2 baskets of logs) is provided for the open fire which will be set on your arrival. Further supplies are available chargeable via an honesty box in the house.
