Description
Kirkdale Bank is a superbly situated two storey cottage in a very private position commanding panoramic views out to sea across magnificent Wigtown Bay.  Located on Kirkdale Estate and surrounded by woodland, it is only a short walk down a private track to the foreshore, allowing endless opportunity for exploring, sea fishing, visiting the caves further along, collecting shells, watching the waves and listening to the curlews. Superb sandy beaches are only a short drive away. Guests are welcome to use the golden sandy beaches at the private Cardoness Estate only 2 miles from the property.  

Kirkdale Bank has been completely renovated to provide very comfortable high quality accommodation. The cottage has a fully enclosed south facing garden looking out to sea. A further large garden is open to the side and rear. The sitting-room, kitchen, master bedroom and twin bedroom are all south facing and command panoramic sea views. There is a wood-burning stove in the eating kitchen and a real fire in the sitting-room. The dining table in the sitting-room can seat up to 10.

Kirroughtree, with 70 kilometres of bike trails, forest walks, café and children’s play park is within 15 minutes and Cream o’ Galloway with its award-winning ice-cream, café, children’s indoor and outdoor play area is within 10 minutes. Castle Douglas Food town and Kirkcudbright Artist’s town are within 20 minutes. Gatehouse of Fleet with excellent shops, pubs and restaurants is only 5 miles away.
