marthrown_roundhouse.jpgThe Roundhouse - only 125 metres over the hill from the bunkhouse you come upon a truly awesome sight. Nestled amongst the trees in a clearing is an authentic replica of a Celtic Roundhouse. If you truly want to live the Iron Age life there is an open fire in the middle of the roundhouse on which you can cook your meals or convert to a cosy wood burner. For those who want an easier life tasty home-made meals are also available to order in advance down at the Bunkhouse.

Book exclusive use of the entire site which includes tipi (when up) and camping space for at least 10 small tents. This venue makes the perfect place for a private party.

marthrown_yurt.jpgMongolian Yurt -  new to our site in June 2008, it has already proved very popular with couples, small groups and families. The centrepiece of the yurt is a very effective wood burning stove which has an oven in which you can rustle up a tasty meal. It has a double sofa bed and two single beds, table and chairs and a range of books and games. Electricity is a 12 volt system to provide lights. It is tucked away in its own secluded location with BBQ and its own picnic table. For a very special experience come and stay a few days in our yurt.

marthrwon_bunkhouse.jpgBunkhouses - we have a total of 26 bed spaces spread over 4 rooms:

Annan bunkhouse has 8 beds – 4 sets of bunks
Esk bunkhouse has 7 beds – 1 single and 3 sets of bunks

Upper Nith has 4 beds – a king size and 3 singles.

The Esk /Annan Veranda has a multi-fuel stove which heats radiators in those two bunkhouses as well as being a nice place to sit and natter! To make it easier on Mum and Dad we can also provide a cot and a bed guard for families. Also we have a highchair, books, toys and games which you are welcome to use. Outside there is a play area for football, badminton or basket ball.

marthrown_tipi.jpgNative American style Tipi - for a slightly different experience how about sleeping in a Tipi. Imagine yourself falling asleep to the sounds of the forest as the tendrils of smoke from the fire meander up through the criss-cross of the poles and out of the top.Tipi only up Easter to October.
