Description
Millhill Farm MTB Friendly B&B, DumfriesSet high upon the hill above the Old Glen just 2 miles west of Dumfries, Millhill Farm is a luxury farmhouse bed and breakfast.  Millhill Farm is a small working farm with free range British saddleback pigs, beef cattle, sheep and turkeys at Christmas time.

Millhill Farm specialise in catering for the needs of visitors to the nearby 7stanes mountain bike trails with 3 of the 5 Dumfries & Galloway 7stanes trails within 15 miles of Millhill Farm. We have plenty of off road parking and offer free secure storage for bikes and equipment and a bike wash area.

After a hard day on the trails, guests can either relax in the dining room in front of the wood burning stove or outside in the garden area to chat about the day’s events or plan the next days adventures! For those with more stamina, Dumfries is only 2 miles away offering a range of excellent restaurants, pubs, bars, nightclubs and a good late night taxi service too!

In the morning our breakfasts will really set you up for the day. There are porridge oats, selection of cereals, fresh fruits and luxury yoghurts and of course the full Scottish Breakfast. You will sample the finest sausages and bacon, all from our own free-range rare breed pigs, local free-range eggs and where possible we use organic produce.

Our 2 en suite rooms are furnished with high quality beds, mattresses and furniture and are tastefully decorated.  Our bed linen is all pure Egyptian cotton, as are the fluffy towels and bathrobes. Each bathroom has complimentary toiletries and both bathrooms have heated floors.

The Garden room is on the ground floor and overlooks the side garden. This room has a double bed and a contemporary shower room with an enormous monsoon shower head over a large enclosure.

The Den is on the first floor at the top of its own staircase. This room has a beautiful King-size Mahogany Sleigh bed with a cosy natural stone tiled bathroom with a large Jacuzzi bath in the bay of the window. This bedroom has particularly lovely views of Dumfries and the hills beyond.

The Dining Room is a light and airy dining room with the benefit of fabulous views over Dumfriesshire. The oak floored room opens out into the garden which is a fabulous sun trap and on warm mornings you can choose to have your breakfast on the terrace.
