Welcome to The Crown Hotel, Newton Stewart

The Crown Hotel boasts 11 en-suite rooms all with their own tea and coffee making facilities and satellite televisions. Each room has been decorated to a high and modern standard to ensure your stay with us is comfortable and relaxing.

Our rooms range in capacity with single, double, twin and family sized rooms available. We can also accommodate adults with infants by providing cots.

In addition to our first rate accommodation, The Crown Hotel's Knights Bistro and Restaurant has established itself locally as an excellent, relaxed eatery. Serving lunch meals from 12:00pm until 2:30pm and evening meals from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, all of our dishes are lovingly prepared using locally sourced fresh produce.

Returned to its former glory as the public bar of the hotel, Shamrocks is the perfect place to enjoy a few casual drinks with friends. We have two large screen televisions which both receive Sky, ESPN and the new exciting Sky 3D format, the only bar in Newton Stewart to do so. Shamrocks has plenty to keep you entertained with our pool table, darts board and our vintage arcade game. We also have regular entertainment nights ranging from live music and karaoke to quiz nights, and every Thursday we host our Texas Hold ‘Em Poker tournament from 8:30pm.

The Crown Hotel is a friendly welcoming hotel owned and run by one of Wigtownshire’s most renowned families in the hospitality trade, the Hart family.

With both of their establishments located in and around the Newton Stewart area, it’s easy to see why five years ago Derek and Sinead Hart came for a visit and loved the region so much, decided to plant roots here.

The Crown Hotel is the Hart family’s most recent venture and after extensive renovation and refurbishment, have transformed the hotel into one of Newton Stewart's most popular.
