The Family Routes

Lanton Loops
Lanton Woods has natural singletrack and fire road trail which we would like to waymark suitable for all abilities and Jedforest Pathways plan would be to build a small parking area, picnic site and a skills area here for honing the bikers skills to ride off road.

Jedforest Pathways would also like to include a link to the existing path at Cliekumin which gives access to the village of Ancrum by foot or bike to and also Harestanes Woodland Centre.

Dere Street Dash

The Family Route follows the justice trail as far as the "Joogilie Brig" where it goes left rather than climbing into Lanton Wood. The Family Trail then follows the Jed Water gently back into Jedburgh where it takes you up the Friars and in to the Mercat Cross in the Town Square before ending back at the Jedburgh Abbey.
