Description
Traquair Mill House & Bothy, sleeping up to 10 people combined, is set in a delightful rural location adjacent to the Quair Water in the Scottish Borders is completely away from it all, yet only 27 miles from Edinburgh.

The Mill House, formerly the owner's home provides comfortable and stylish accommodation whilst the adjacent Bothy is all open-plan, rustic yet comfortable with direct access into a pretty south facing garden.

3 night breaks: Friday, Saturday and Sunday £550 (based on 8 people sharing) The Bothy available at £20pppn

2 night breaks: Friday and Saturday £390 (based on 8 people sharing) The Bothy available at £25pppn

Mid-week breaks: £150 per night (8 people sharing) minimum 2 nights.

The Bothy consists of an open-plan sleeping, living and dining area. A wood-burning stove completes the cosy feel. Guests can choose between a super kingsize bed or two single beds. Mill Bothy can accommodate a third person on the sofabed or on one of the sleeping platforms above the living/sleeping space. All towels and bed linen are provided. There is a separate shower room, a bathroom and two toilets.

Rental rates starting at £695 per week are based on 8 people renting Traquair Mill House. Additional accomodation is available for 2 people in the Bothy for £150 per week. Currently the Bothy cannot be rented independently from the Mill House.

Smaller groups can be accomodated. Please contact us at lucy.husband@yahoo.co.uk for individual tarriffs. Changeover day is Saturday but can be flexible at certain times of the year.

World class mountain biking is available at the 7stanes trails at Glentress Forest (4 miles) and Innerleithen, one mile down the road. Glentress in the Tweed Valley has a choice of easier fun rides, a skills loop, freeride practice runs, trailquest and a popular blue route. There is a menu of linear and circular walks from the doorstep, some along sections of the Southern Upland Way, Scotland's 212 mile coast to coast walking trail.
The busy market town of Peebles (6 miles) has excellent shops, restaurants and even a swimming pool and theatre.
