The Glenkens - Dumfries and Galloway

The Glenkens is situated in the center of Dumfries and Galloway north of Castle Douglas making it an ideal central location to access the five venues in Galloway and is made up of an extensive area comprising of four villages - St Johns Town of Dalry, New Galloway, Carsphairn and Balmaclellan.

There are plenty of hotels that are accustomed to accommodating visitors with outdoor interests many with facilities for storing bikes and drying clothes!

This area also has some fantastic self catering cottages, village inns, bunkhouses, log cabins, B&B’s and Caravan & camping sites.
